Krakatau, also referred to as “the Volcano” on Universal’s official map, may not constitute one of Volcano Bay’s three lands, but it’s the first thing you’ll notice upon setting foot in the water park, thanks to the “fire and water volcano’s” impressive 200-foot stature.
Located inside the giant structure are the most intense attractions in the entire park, even if they technically belong to the other three areas, and Vol, the Spirit of the Volcano, which is an interactive water feature not unlike The Mystic Fountain over in Islands of Adventure.
