It’s the start of the new year, and Orlando Informer is ready to embark on another 365 days of intense Universal Orlando vacation planning and greater Central Florida coverage!
But because it’s a new year — a time of taking inventory and setting new goals — we thought it would be appropriate to find out what you would like to see more of on our site in 2014. So, in this week’s reader poll, we’re asking just that.
In a change from previous polls, this time around you may vote for more than one selection. Here we go…

Note: You don’t have to sign into a social network to vote, that is just a feature offered. If you prefer to vote anonymously, click your selection in the poll and, when you see the pop up, click “Keep vote anonymous”.

I really appreciate your feedback via your voting. If you’d like to elaborate on your voting with a few comments, that is definitely encouraged, and you may do so at the bottom of the post.
For those interested, learn about what Orlando Informer accomplished in 2013.
Last week’s polls:
Which Central Florida theme park is most improved for 2013? With 170 out of 247 votes (69%), the clear winner is Universal Studios Florida — looks like Transformers and the host of new venues inside Springfield USA did the trick!
At the end of 2013, which Central Florida theme park is your all-time favorite? With 66 out of 169 votes (39%), Islands of Adventure is the winner. Universal Studios Florida and Magic Kingdom came in second and third respectfully.
Maybe on the website or if you do a mobile app it would be nice to have showtimes. Especially around the holiday times since I can’t find grinchmas or parade showtimes anywhere on universals website.
Bring back the forum please…I miss it.
More pics & videos of the rides & attractions.
More videos would be great.
A forum dedicated to planning trips and discussing Universal Orlando would be great tool to help folks plan better trips. One thing not listed that I’d like to have are more hotels walkthroughs and reviews of the onsite restaurants.
I voted on the official poll too, but I would love, love, love a message board/forum like disboards has. They do have a small Universal section, but this would be an opportunity to outshine them and be exceedingly awesome!!!!
There are good forums for Universal rumors but not so many for Universal planning. My favorite posts are about history, fun facts and rumors. I’ve been a UO passholder for a while, so I don’t need that much help with general planning. So I check your website every day to learn more facts or history or something awesome about Harry Potter. The details are great, but the expert, behind-the-scenes knowledge is what keeps me visiting every day! You’re like a digital VIP guide. I’ve even looked for “history of Univeral Studios” books but I’m not so interested in the movie studios, I… Read more »
The entrance to Universal Studios from Blue Man/RRRocket… It doesnt seem to open at the same time as the main entrance. Is there a way to understand the side entrance to the park hours?
PaulRoberts2You are correct. The USF entrance by Blue Man Group doesn’t have published operating hours, and I’ve seen it open as early as 10:00am and as late as noon. So, basically, if you try anytime before noon, be prepared for it to be closed — and definitely don’t try it before 10:00am.
Your interest in Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular has also been noted 🙂
I would love to see a vacation planning forum. This is easily the best Universal planning site out there and a forum to connect with other fans, ask and answer questions, and share experiences would be great.
I’m sure some of us would be willing to be moderators and help with a msg board in any way we can. 🙂
I also LOVE the Big 5 posts! Those are wonderful.
