As first reported by Orlando Informer, the Orlando Police Department were called to Universal’s Islands of Adventure Friday morning at 9:30 am due to an altercation between two third party team members.
The suspect, 33-year-old Fredrick Torres, has been booked as of 6:25 pm and charged with attempted first degree murder with a weapon.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital due to his injuries and remains in critical condition. Sources speaking on the condition of anonymity indicated it was in the Toon Lagoon section of Islands of Adventure where the suspect struck the back of the victim’s head with a pair of scissors. The area was closed and team members were told to remain where they are, due to the police activity.
