This is my absolute favorite thing at the Resort!

I love all of the awesome action movies of the 80's and this is just the best.

When everything in the theatre is working right it can be awesome, however sometimes things don't work.

They are planning on upgrading it sometime soon to take advantage of the new Terminator movie coming out. Should be awesome!

I love T2! It's not something we hit every single time, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

Fan of T2 3d as well. I don't know how many times we saw it before I finally noticed the audience in the time portal when it goes from live action to the movie.

wow... this is my least favorite thing there.  hokey acting, bad effects, long wait.... :/

It really brings down that whole corner of the park for me.

Good to know others still enjoy it though.

Is there anybody going to the park today? I heard the Terminator show has a rare technical issue and now Kimberley has to run off the stage instead of being killed, which makes it an unique show. Is there someone going to the park today and can he/she perhaps film this rare exit of Kimberley for me? Not the whole show, just Kimberley's different exit when the T-1000 arrives on the stage.

Would love to do it myself but I'm living on the other side of the world, so I really hope someone can help me here and document this rare variation of the show.

Hello Maurice2029,

Welcome to the OI community forums.  Happy to have you join in the discussions.

We will have to see if anyone in the community will be able to see/capture the terminator show today.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Never seen this show before, kind of glossed over it the last time we were there. I am planning on getting it in when we go in a week and a half.

Another bump for my request as we can't wait too long with this... :o

I was in the park yesterday and I came across this page while searching for information on the odd alternate show that I just saw. Unfortunately I did not have the foresight to record Kimberly Duncan's "B-mode" exit, but this is what I recall:

The T-1000 goes immediately after the Connors after materializing onstage, as opposed to heading directly to Duncan's podium. Duncan exclaims, "No job is worth all of this!" and runs offstage, leaving the podium unoccupied for the T-1000 to commandeer the T-70s. Someone else in my group claimed that Sarah shot at Duncan as she fled, but I personally did not see this.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, so hopefully someone will get a video soon. Does anyone know what kind of technical issue could have caused this? It was pretty neat to see this alternate show, and Duncan actually comes across as a bit more shrewd in this version (choosing to save her skin instead of arguing with a darn terminator). Still, I'm glad to hear it wasn't a permanent change in order to make the show more family-friendly, which really isn't Universal's style.

If I recall correctly, the actress is thrown on a padded floor that lowers below the stage. My guess would be that the padding needed to be replaced, or the mechanical system that lowers the floor needs some rest and relaxation.

Hi T-80,

Welcome to the OI community forums.  Great to have you join the discussions.

Thank you for the update on the Terminator show.  This is what the forum is for, the sharing of information and updates.

Again, welcome, and let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Thanks for the answer. It's always interesting to see attractions in "B-mode" (and the actors pulled it off quite well), but I'm glad to know that it's probably an easy fix.

The crash pad is being replaced. They are waiting for a new one so therefor there is a short time window to record this alternate version. :-(

If someone manages to do it, I'd be really grateful.

Thanks anyway for your description. Didn't hear about Sarah firing at Kimberley before, I don't think Sarah would easily take a human life that quick. From what I've heard Kimberley just runs off, each actress having her own improvisation line.

Yeah, I personally thought that she just ran away. I just added my other group member's observations just in case I missed something.

Still bumping. :-) Anyone going to the park these days and be able to record it?

[I'm willing to pay 10 USD by paypal for a clearly visible HD recording of the part in which the T-1000 arrives from the screen, Kimberley runs away until the Terminator arrives on his motorcycle if someone records that exclusively for me]

I was at the park on Saturday May 9th and Kimberly didn't come out at all to talk in the pre-show. She just started the video and walked off. When we went into the auditorium, she did a brief introduction of herself and started the show. Like the person said before, when the cop terminator came out she said "no job is worth this" and ran off stage. Sorry I just saw this post and didn't video it!

That's weird. No introduction of Kimberley in the preshow. The variation of the show just got weirder.

edit:

I can say that this a timing error. Kimberley was too late on the preshow stage because of an event before it. So you got to experience a real rare variation ;-)

I was just there yesterday. Kim just ran off stage and there was no bike. Looked bad. I'll see if I can figure out why Kim is just running off stage now.

Not special for you perhaps, but special for me. I'm a die-hard Terminator fan and I love the show. Every different aspect or variation is something I find interesting.

Normally Kimberley doesn't survive the show, now this "small" alteration makes her survive the show.

From what I've been told by someone, the crash pad is waiting to be replaced.

If you would be able, it would be awesome!!
