River Village is billed by Universal as Volcano Bay’s something-for-everyone area.
Here, you can catch the far-reaching lazy river (which, yes, takes you right through the Krakatau volcano itself), let the kiddies romp through a series of water play areas, and even hop on either a family raft ride or a unique aqua coaster.

River Village Attractions
Krakatau Aqua Coaster
Volcano Bay’s flagship attraction, Krakatau Aqua Coaster, is a four-person canoe that launches up and shoots down hills and rockets through the volcano itself in a series of dark twists and turns. For the finale, the coaster plunges down a large drop with a large tiki statue on each side.
Honu ika Moana
Honu ika Moana features two side-by-side slides: Honu, where riders on a sea turtle raft speed up walls and splash into pools, and Ika Moana, a whale-themed raft ride that sprays water as it twists through the course.
Kopiko Wai Winding River
Kopiko Wai Winding River is Volcano Bay’s lazy river, taking you through the tropical landscape and the volcano itself. There are a number of surprises along the way, including sprays of water and Stargazers’ Cavern inside Krakatau.
Runamukka and Tot Tiki Reefs
Volcano Bay’s kids’ areas include Runamukka Reef, with bubbling geysers, bamboo sea creatures, and water slides, and Tot Tiki Reef, a toddler-friendly zone with a mini water volcano, tikis, and splash fountains.
