What is Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl
Silly humans are “captured” and forced to “attack” their fellow man using the flight path of their flying saucer, activating targets that bear the faces of different Springfield citizens as they pass by. In true spinner fashion, Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl circles around like a carousel, and riders control how low or high they want to fly.
Where is Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl located?
In Springfield: Home of the Simpsons, which is in Universal Studios Florida.

Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl – what you wish you knew before you experienced it
Although this ride is very easy-going, the pre-ride spiel and some of the signage make it seem far scarier and thrilling than it is. Don’t let your little ones get psyched out by it!
Also, be sure to aim your flying saucer for the “citizen” targets – when you pass by their sensors, the target spins and a sound effect is played.
How scary is Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl?
We rate Kang & Kodos one out of five carnivorous aliens – it’s an easy-going, slow-moving spinner.
What was Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl’s opening date?
August 11, 2013
Fun Fact
Each saucer has its own name. Examples include “Barf Simpson,” “Ronald Raygun,” and “Mai Tai Fighter” (a little Star Wars nod – which is ironic since both properties are now owned by The Walt Disney Company).

Great ride for kids and adults, especially Simpson fans!
Personally, I enjoy riding this when my day needs a break. I love messing about with the joystick to my panel because it makes my panel go up and down while going in continuous circles.
The sounds and noises emitted from the ride were pretty cool, too. I also enjoyed the view... Especially when I rode high and got to see Diagon Alley!
It was nice for me that my final day of my 2013 Summer Vacation at Universal was also the day that 'Twirl n Hurl' opened.
I wasn't expecting much to be totally honest as it is what I would call a "kiddie" ride. Although I got the impression from over hearing famailies the name is very off putting as it does not live up to the "hurl" whatsoever it's more of a moderate twirl.
It's good that it incorprates Simpsons sounds, characters and jokes to make it fun for Simpsons fans. I did quite enjoy this ride, but it is something more for the younger generation or a parent and young child type of ride.
But all in all it was a good pretty average ride and something Universal was missing in the bracket of rides between kid and adult as it is really exactly half way between the two. As mentioned below if you really want to "Twirl & Hurl", Storm Force at IOA causes more of a potential "hurl"!
In order to enjoy this ride, you have to accept it for what it is. It is nothing new or extraordinary. It is similar to Dumbo, Alladin's carpet, and many other carnival-esque rides. However, with that being said, the theme is pretty great. The colors and structure of the ride itself fits well with the Simpsons. It is fun, and whimsical and makes for a great photograph. The very best part of this ride is the view you will have when you are on it. If you have a few minutes, take some time to enjoy this ride and the view of the park that it gives you.
Or at least that's what the aliens tell you! Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl is a nice slow paced ride that is a great stop off during a trip to Universal Studios. This ride features two person cars which can hold 3 if you have little ones along. Each car is capable of going up and down by the use of a joystick at your leisure. I certainly twirled but I can't say I hurled. Heads up, be sure to listen closely, the sarcasm of the announce is probably the best part of the whole ride! Younger kids and kids at heart will certainly enjoy this twirlin' good time!
*Currently there is a nice view of the London side of Diagon Alley. This is a must ride for any Potter fan or theme park enthusiast while waiting for the expansion to open!*
