What are the public spaces at Hard Rock Hotel?
From the moment you approach the Spanish-revival hotel and walk into the lobby of the Hard Rock, you’ll be hit with both the sights and sounds of a luxurious retreat for rockers and fans alike. Exploring the public spaces of the hotel allows guests to fully absorb that laid-back California-rocker aesthetic that permeates this resort.
Hard Rock Hotel – lobby
Stepping into the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel feels like stepping into the flashiest living room of a famous rock n’ roll star. Despite the plush couches and seating areas, recessed ceilings, and wrought-iron fixtures, the most noticeable features are the larger-than-life paintings of rock legends, such as David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix. Step out onto the balcony that overlooks the pool area, or check out the music memorabilia on display around the lobby. If you need to check your email or send a fax, the Takin’ Care of Business center is located here, too.
Hard Rock Hotel – shopping
Unique to the Hard Rock Hotel is the Rock Shop, where you can pick up your “Hard Rock Orlando” souvenirs, as well as gifts and fashion from a variety of musical celebrity clothing lines. The decor of this shop has more rock memorabilia, artwork, and live television feeds broadcasting the view from various Hard Rock locations around the world.
Hard Rock Hotel – dining
Eat like “The King” at the various dining options for Hard Rock Hotel – for fine dining, visit the Palm Restaurant, an upscale New York-based chain that is famous for its aged steaks and Nova Scotia lobster. The other full-service restaurant is The Kitchen, where you’ll find a popular breakfast buffet and all-day eats. If you’re lounging by the pool, BeachClub has an extensive food and drinks menu, whereas Emack & Bolio’s Marketplace is your stop for grab-and-go snacks or ice cream treats. Finally, Velvet Bar serves as the hotel bar and lounge, and is also home to the monthly Velvet Sessions, where guests can experience an intimate performance with top entertainers.
Where can I find the rock memorabilia at Hard Rock Hotel?
The Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando is a veritable museum of rock artifacts, so much, in fact, that they have created an online directory of each item and where to find it. Visit the Velvet Bar to find Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath’s guitar, or discover Rihanna’s bodysuit in the lobby – they even have Elvis Presley’s black pajamas!
Hard Rock Hotel – grounds and green spaces
Several pathways meander around the grounds, and the scenic walk along the water way from the hotel to Universal CityWalk Orlando is beautiful, but did you know that Hard Rock Hotel has its very own butterfly garden? Often used for weddings and events, if this space is not occupied, guests are welcome to wander among the flora and enjoy the flowering plants and humming insects in this pesticide-free zone.
Does Hard Rock have a fitness center?
Hard Rock Hotel has a holistic Sound Body workout program, which includes the bodyrock fitness center, where you can use the weights or treadmills, but they also offer a Rock Om yoga kit that can be used in your room with three different on-demand yoga classes, found right on your hotel room television. If you prefer to exercise outside, there are walking/jogging trails around the landscaped areas of the resort.
Hard Rock Hotel – game room
Like all Universal resort hotels, Hard Rock has its own arcade right next to the pool, where you can play all the latest video games.
