If you are staying in the non-busy season and planning on staying on-site look into buying an Annual Pass. We only stayed one night and made up the difference between a 2 day ticket and an Annual Pass with the hotel discount and 10% savings throughout the park. If you are going in the off-season and staying for 2 nights I would HIGHLY recommend checking out what you can save. . .might really surprise you!!

You don’t need soda to stay hydrated! Everywhere you can get a drink, you can get a complementary water cup. If you’re lucky, and it’s happened to me on multiple occasions, the employee will “accidentally” give you Sprite.

Buy park tickets through mousesavers or undercover tourist websites. Buy annual passes or disneys never expire deals and if you go frequently enough, your sorted for park tickets for a few years 🙂
We travel from england and use a dollar card from ‘the money shop’ top it up at the cheapest rate prior to your holiday (vacation) and use it without the bank charging you excessively for using your credit card abroad 🙂 also buy dollars at their cheapest rates throughout the year, because you can never visit orlando just once 😀

We booked through universalorlando.com chose the moderate mystery hotel for our trip last week. It’s was only $220 for 5 nights. That’s only $44 a night! We got the Holiday Inn at the universal main gate as the mystery hotelWe walked to the parks across the street everyday. It’s also a universal partner hotel so they have scheduled free transportation to the parks if you want it and you get 15-20% off dining and merchandise in the parks at select locations.

Bring drinks, sandwich stuff, and snacks for the room (ice chest needed if staying onsite at UOR). Great for when you return from the park starving. Saves a bundle on vending machines or mini bar.

Also, book through their site and use promo codes to save big bucks! I am lucky enough to use the Florida resident, military and Annual pass holder discounts! So I am always looking to see which one saves me the most dough. Well worth it all if you go enough!

We use our AAA card wherever we can for discounts. They take it at most food places and shops in Universal. We saved a ton with the card, especially since I spent so much on Harry Potter stuff. 🙂

One of our favorites sent in by a reader a while back: “Ended up finding a great rate at the Royal Pacific through http://lastminutetravel.com.
It was one of the hidden hotels they have (a 4.5 star in the
International Drive/Universal Resort Area) but the description gave it
away talking about pool access at sister properties (Hard Rock and
Portofino). Saved about $120/night through the site.”

I always book through Bookit.com! Cheap flights, cheap hotels, specials on Park tickets, more money for WWOHP memorabilia. And I have never once had a problem with them.
