Orlando Informer is a theme-park vacation-planning company founded in 2011. Every year, we help millions of people plan a better vacation to Orlando’s biggest tourist destinations. Since 2015, our private events (Orlando Informer Meetups) have provided thousands of guests with the opportunity to experience after-hours access and unique opportunities at their favorite theme parks. We’re currently in an exciting phase of growth and would love for you to join us.
We’re looking for an experienced social media marketer. You should be able to create content that engages and breaks through the noise on a consistent and regular basis. In order to succeed in this role you will need to have a deep understanding of theme parks and their fans. You should be detailed oriented, efficient, and incredibly comfortable with written and verbal communication.
Orlando Informer is a small, nimble, and remote-first company, so it’s likely you’ll get experience across many areas of our business. With this in mind, here are some of the major responsibilities of this role:
– Take the lead on content ideation and execution across all social channels – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
– Analyze and create reports on key performance indicators
– Assist in planning and executing Orlando Informer Meetup marketing and logistics
– Work to further our goal of providing personalized communication and experiences to each of our guests
– Moderate and engage via social media channels to reinforce our brand voice and provide immense value to readers
– Other duties as assigned
This is a remote position, but Central Florida residency is required. A high school diploma or GED is required. A degree in hospitality, English, marketing, or communications is greatly preferred, as is three or more years of full-time marketing experience. A deep understanding and passion for Central Florida theme parks is required.
