This Privacy Policy applies to Orlando Informer, LLC, and its affiliates and subsidiaries, such as Orlando Informer Tickets, LLC; and Orlando Informer Merchandise, LLC, (together, “Orlando Informer,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and the personal information we collect through (a) our website, orlandoinformer.com, including subdomains such as orlandoinformer.com, tickets.orlandoinformer.com, merch.orlandoinformer.com, and meetup.orlandoinformer.com (collectively, the “Site”), and (b) the Orlando Informer mobile application available through the Apple App Store and Google Play (the “App”). The Site and the App are referred to collectively in this Privacy Policy as the “Services.”
1. Personal Information We Collect
Personal information (which is information related to an identified or identifiable individual) we collect through the Services, includes:
- Contact information, such as first name, last name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and shipping address
- Account information, including your username, password, security questions and other information used for account security purposes, as well as other information associated with your account such as age, gender, picture, and preferences
- Commercial, event, and travel information, such as payment method information, transaction history and activity, and ticket, hotel, event attendance, or other trip plan information
- Internet and app activity, such as IP address, device ID, browsing and search history, usage data regarding your interaction with the Services and ads, mobile networks, browser types, operating system details, referring URLs, length of visits, traffic data, your time zone, mouse movement and clicks, scrolls, and/or pages viewed
- Device and mobile app information, such as device type and model, operating system and version, language and region settings, App version, unique device identifiers (such as the Identifier for Vendor on iOS and the Android Advertising ID), mobile network information, push notification tokens, and App diagnostic and performance data (such as crash logs)
- Location information, including approximate location derived from your IP address, and, if you grant the App permission, precise location information from your device’s location services. Precise location is used only to support trip-planning and theme-park proximity features, is not used for cross-context behavioral advertising, and can be revoked at any time in your device’s operating system settings
2. Cookies and Other Similar Technologies
We, and our vendors, may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other similar technologies to collect information when you interact with the Site, such as internet activity information. These technologies help the Site store your preferences and settings, enable you to use Site functionalities and features such as booking and purchasing, help us analyze how the Site performs, combat fraud, and are used for targeted advertising purposes.
Technologies we use may include, but are not limited to:
- Facebook/Meta: To change your settings with Facebook, login to your Facebook account and navigate to the Privacy Center or review your Ad Preferences.
- X Advertising: To opt out of X personalized ads, see here.
- Reddit: To change your personalized ads settings, see here.
- TikTok: For more information on personalized ads, including how to change settings, see here.
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics, for which we implement Google advertising features such as dynamic remarketing, interest-based advertising, audience targeting, behavioral reporting, demographics and interests reporting, user segment analysis, device reporting, display advertising, video ads reporting, and impression reporting. See here for more information on how Google Analytics uses the data it collects. You may opt-out of Google Analytics or adjust your Google advertising settings.
- Expo and Expo Application Services (EAS): used for App build, delivery, over-the-air updates, push notification routing, and crash reporting. Information processed includes device identifiers, App version, OS version, and diagnostic events. See expo.dev/privacy-explained.
- Payment processing (Stripe and Shopify): used to process purchases made within the App. Payment-card details are submitted directly to Stripe or Shopify and are not stored by us. See Stripe’s website and Shopify’s website.
To opt-out of interest-based advertising from companies that participate in the Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative opt-out programs, please use their respective opt out tools. You may be able to manage certain of these technologies by adjusting your browser or device settings. Note that the Services do not respond to browser Do-Not-Track signals. For any choices you make regarding these technologies, you will have to exercise these choices per website, application, browser, or device. We are not responsible for the opt out or settings tools provided by third parties, including their functionality.
3. Mobile App Permissions
The App may request permission to access certain features of your device, including:
- Push notifications. With your permission, we may send push notifications to your device through the App. You can opt out at any time in App settings or by disabling notifications in your device’s operating system settings. Push notifications are not required to use the App.
- Location. With your permission, the App may collect your device’s location to support trip-planning and theme-park proximity features. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device’s location settings; the App will continue to function with reduced features if you deny the permission.
Granting these permissions is voluntary. You can review and change the App’s permissions at any time through your device settings.
4. Purposes of Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
We collect, use, and disclose (such as to subsidiaries and affiliates, vendors, marketing partners, business partners, and other entities) personal information to:
- Maintain and improve the Site and our services
- Process payments and complete any transactions in connection with your purchases or orders
- Facilitate reservations of theme park tickets, hotel rooms, and otherwise help plan your vacation
- Communicate with you, including in relation to customer service inquiries, marketing emails, and send you push notifications through the App if you have enabled them
- Register you for an Orlando Informer Meetup
- Communicate with theme parks, hotels, restaurants, event planners, travel agencies, and other similar entities to facilitate our planning of your vacation
- Market and advertise our services and merchandise to you
- Conduct internal analyses, such as surveys, studies, market research, monitoring or analyzing trends, usage and activities
- Monitor, diagnose, and fix errors, crashes, and performance issues in the App
- Detect and prevent fraud, enforce our legal rights, comply with certain obligations under applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, as well as establish or exercise our legal rights, for fraud or crime-prevention purposes, or for the protection of the rights, property, or safety of our company or third parties
- Use or disclose your personal information at your direction
Additionally, we may disclose personal information as part of a prospective or actual corporate transaction or proceeding such as a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or at transfer, divestiture, or sale of all or a portion of our business or assets.
5. Your Choices
If you have a registered account, you may update certain personal information within your account settings.
You may delete your account at any time directly within the App by going to Account Settings → Delete my Account, or by contacting us at tickets@orlandoinformer.com. When you delete your account, we delete your account profile and the personal information associated with it. Transaction and order records may be retained on a de-identified basis for legal, tax, accounting, and anti-fraud purposes. De-identified records are not linked to any account.
To opt out of marketing emails, you may use the opt out method described in those marketing emails. You may not be able to opt out of receiving certain messages from us, such as transactional communications or legal notices. To opt out of push notifications, adjust the notification settings on your device.
California residents may request certain information about certain types of personal information we disclose to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To submit this type of request, email us using the contact information below with “California Shine the Light Request” as part of the subject line. The information we provide and our response is subject to applicable law.
6. Links and Interactive Features
The Services may contain links to other online services as well as well as interactive features provided by third parties that are not maintained or controlled by us. For example, we may embed features that allow you to share content from the Services on your social media profile or page. We may also direct you to a separate careers portal if you apply for a job, which is maintained and controlled by one of our vendors. Additionally, we may offer an interactive customer service chat feature to assist you with questions you may have. When you participate in an interactive customer service chat, either with a virtual or live agent, the contents of the chat may be captured and kept as a transcript. Our vendors may process the information obtained through the feature to provide services on our behalf. Your use of these interactive features is voluntary. We have no control over and are not responsible for services provided by third parties and this Privacy Policy does not apply to online services not controlled or maintained by us.
7. Data Security
We maintain reasonable and adequate technical, administrative, and physical security and confidentiality measures designed to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access or acquisition. Please understand, however, that no data transmissions over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you understand that any information that you transfer to us is done at your own risk.
8. International Visitors Users of the Services
If you are located outside of the United States, you acknowledge that we collect, process, and store personal information in the United States, and that the data protection and privacy laws in the United States may not offer the same level of protection than the applicable laws in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer your personal information to an entity outside of your location, we take steps to comply with law in respect of that transfer, for example by ensuring that your personal information is protected by comparable safeguards to those provided under the law of your location.
9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will indicate any changes by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of the Privacy Policy. Any changes are effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site or in the App.
