Coming down Main Street, U.S.A. in Summer 2025, Walt Disney World Resort’s newest parade Disney Starlight arrives. Brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy, Disney Starlight will feature beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios films “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” “Frozen,” and more.

This first of its kind experience will welcome all buccaneers to this unique pirate-themed tavern. Enjoy grogs and grub at this new establishment coming to Magic Kingdom Park in late 2025.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is getting a stellar upgrade that will take your intergalactic adventure to new heights. Leading the charge is Buddy, a brand-new support-bot designed to ensure every recruit is mission-ready before blastoff. But that’s just the beginning! Your ride vehicle is getting a futuristic makeover inspired by the bold colors of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command. These revamped cruisers will now feature built-in video monitors displaying real-time score updates and exciting mission data to keep you on your game. And for those looking to rack up even more points? Say goodbye to mounted cannons — each vehicle will now include handheld blasters for sharper aim and more action-packed fun.

Magic Kingdom Park’s Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island will soon be transformed into Piston Peak National Park, a Cars-themed area that includes two new attractions. Race through the mountains, climbing trails, and dodging geysers, in addition to a second attraction geared towards fun for the whole family. Construction in Frontierland is scheduled to begin in 2025.

In a park where heroes reign triumphant, evil finally has its place among the magic. This new land centers around infamous Disney Villains from favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios classic films. The multi-acre expansion will include two major attractions, plus dining and shopping.

Opening: July 22, 2025

In partnership with Chevrolet, EPCOT’s Test Track plans to celebrate today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future. The queue will feature six exhibits featuring the vehicles – and people behind the vehicles – that push the envelope and help get to our next chapter in our motion journey. On the ride, guests will discover the connection to mobility with onboard technology, customization and personalization, followed by a trip through a scenic outdoor route.

New Mission Coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Opening: May 22, 2026

With The Mandalorian and Grogu film on the horizon in 2026, this updated mission lets guests team up with Din Djarin and Grogu to explore the galaxy like never before on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Plus, for the first time ever, guests will take the helm and choose their own destination, opening up unforgettable journeys to iconic Star Wars locations like Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor, and the vibrant city-planet of Coruscant. And that’s not all — a brand-new gameplay feature gives engineer players the ability to communicate directly with Grogu during the mission.

Featuring the first ever suspended coaster in a Disney park, zoom through the Monsters, Incorporated factory on a door – just like the film! Outside, stroll the streets of Monstropolis and enjoy dining, shopping, and a whole new theater show. This area replaces the former Muppet*Vision 3D and its surrounding area.

In another groundbreaking move from Walt Disney World Resort’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets is coming to Sunset Boulevard. The current iteration of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster stars Aerosmith.

Don’t miss the all-new 4D experience coming to the Tree of Life Theater in Winter 2025 – “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” Join Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other fan-favorite characters as you journey through the biomes of Zootopia. 

Tropical Americas

Opening: 2027

This brand new land named Pueblo Esperanza will encapsulate the beauty of the Tropical Americas, while also offering brand new experiences for guests. There’s lots in store for this space, including a hacienda that will be one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as a carousel featuring wood-carved animals from Disney stories. In addition, our favorite archaeologist, Indiana Jones, is taking on a whole new adventure as he has discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple – and we are along for the ride! Additionally, we will enter the Madrigal family’s Casita as Antonio has just received his special gift of communicating with animals. Guests will explore his rainforest room along with the members of the Madrigal family.

While the theme parks are buzzing with excitement, things have been a bit quieter on the new offerings front at Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. But don’t let that fool you — these destinations are bursting with magic waiting to be discovered.
