Haul out the holly! The holidays are starting to arrive at Universal Orlando Resort, with Port of Entry and Seuss Landing in Islands of Adventure being decked with garlands, bows, wreaths, and more. The festive spirit has begun filling the air in preparation for the official start of the Holidays at Universal Orlando, which begins on November 12 and runs through December 31. Most of the celebration is included with admission, unless otherwise noted.
As you approach the turnstiles to Islands of Adventure, garland filled with ornaments, deer figurines, and various seasonal decor hang above. Similar trimmings with baubles cover buildings, lampposts, and signs within Port of Entry – including the iconic “The Adventure Begins” engraving that welcomes you into the park. The interior of Islands of Adventure Trading Company has also been transformed for this winter’s festivities, with Christmas trees neighboring a few of the merchandise displays.
Hopping over to Seuss Landing, it appears that The Whos and other various characters in the world of Dr. Seuss have begun preparations for the yuletide, with some archways and topiaries now exuding the holiday spirit in their decoration. Seuss Landing is home to The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular – a seasonal, musical retelling of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. While we patiently await for this show to begin its yearly run on November 12, we can enjoy watching Seuss Landing continue its festive transformation in the coming weeks.
While we are still in the height of Halloween Horror Nights season, holiday cheer is creeping its way into the parks and reminding us that these festivities are just around the corner.
