Planning a visit to Universal Orlando Resort in September 2025? We cover everything you need to know about crowd levels, events, ride refurbishments, and weather so you can make the most of your Universal getaway. Whether you’re visiting for Halloween Horror Nights or hoping for low crowds, here’s what to expect during your trip to Universal in September 2025.
Universal Orlando Crowd Calendar for September 2025

September is one of the quieter months at Universal Orlando Resort. With most kids back in school by early September, you’ll notice lighter crowds during weekdays. However, Labor Day weekend (with the holiday falling on Monday, September 1, 2025) will likely see a surge in attendance, as guests take advantage of the long weekend.
However, the biggest crowd-puller in September is Halloween Horror Nights, a separately ticketed nighttime event at Universal Studios Florida. Guests often visit the parks during the day before attending Halloween Horror Nights at night, which can slightly impact daytime crowd levels.
Pro Tip: Our free Universal Orlando Resort Crowd Calendar provides a full breakdown of expected attendance levels each day.

It’s scheduled to be open on Halloween Horror Nights event evenings.
The 2025 theme hasn’t been revealed yet, but past iterations have been a fan-favorite spot to hang out after the parks or before Halloween Horror Nights. Stay tuned for official announcements, and in the meantime, check out last year’s Dead Coconut Club experience for an idea of what to expect.
