October 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting time at Universal Orlando Resort! With moderate crowds, cooler evenings, and the full swing of Halloween Horror Nights, the parks are buzzing with energy. From seasonal events to the ever-changing Florida weather, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit this month.
Universal Orlando Crowd Calendar for October 2025

October at Universal Orlando Resort tends to be a relatively quiet month, with moderate crowds overall. You may notice a slight surge around Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 13, as some visitors take advantage of the long weekend.
The biggest crowd draw during this time is Halloween Horror Nights, which runs on select evenings throughout the month. While this is a separately ticketed event, it can still impact daytime attendance—especially at Universal Studios Florida near closing time, as guests arrive early to enjoy the event’s early admission benefits.
If you’d like a day-by-day breakdown of expected attendance, our FREE crowd calendar provides detailed projections to help you plan your visit.
Events at Universal Orlando in October 2025
Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween Horror Nights 2025 runs from Friday, August 29 through Sunday, November 2—so if you’re visiting in October, you’ll be right in the middle of fright season. Each year, the event debuts brand-new haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and themed food offerings. This year’s lineup features Fallout, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Wyatt Sicks, and much more.
Even if you’re only a little curious, we highly recommend experiencing HHN at least once—it’s a cornerstone of Universal Orlando Resort’s fall festivities. Learn more about Halloween Horror Nights tickets here.
Dead Coconut Club

If you’re looking for a less intense alternative to Halloween Horror Nights—or you just want a fun spot to get hyped before the event or unwind afterward—Dead Coconut Club is a perfect pick. This seasonal overlay of Red Coconut Club at Universal CityWalk transforms each fall with immersive décor, themed music, and specialty cocktails. No event ticket is required, and it’s scheduled to be open on Halloween Horror Nights event evenings.
As of publication, the 2025 theme hasn’t been announced yet, but past versions have become fan-favorite hangouts for both Halloween Horror Nights fans and casual visitors. Stay tuned for official details—and in the meantime, take a peek at last year’s Dead Coconut Club to get an idea of what might be in store.

Universal Orlando Resort Weather in October 2025

October weather in Orlando can be pleasantly mild—but don’t be fooled, the high 80s with humidity are still possible. Many guests stick with shorts and casual t-shirts during the day, but if you tend to get chilly, a light sweater or jacket can come in handy for cooler evenings.
What to Pack:
- Supportive footwear: Sneakers or other shoes designed for comfort and support will be your best friend—especially after logging over 20,000 steps in a day. Flip-flops or trendy sandals may look cute, but your feet will thank you for making the practical choice.
- Extra socks: Keep a spare pair in your bag in case of unexpected rain or water rides.
- Rain gear: A poncho or compact umbrella is worth having on hand for those surprise Florida thunderstorms.
- Layering Options: Shorts, T-shirts, and athletic wear work best during the day. If the temperature dips, a light sweatshirt or jacket can make evenings more comfortable.
