Universal Orlando Crowd Calendar for August 2025

As families squeeze in one last summer getaway before the school year kicks off, the parks remain consistently busy throughout the month. Add in the start of Halloween Horror Nights and the approach of Labor Day weekend, and it’s no surprise that crowds are sticking around.
And this year, there’s even more reason for the excitement! Epic Universe, Universal’s newest theme park, just opened in May, and guests are still flocking to be among the first to experience it.
But don’t let the crowds surprise you! Plan like a pro with our Universal Orlando Resort Crowd Calendar, which breaks down what to expect day by day so you can make the most of your visit.

Universal Orlando Resort Weather in August 2025 & What to Wear to Beat the Heat

August may mark the back-to-school season for many, but in Orlando, summer is far from over. It’s one of the hottest and muggiest months of the year in the Sunshine State. And don’t count on evening relief—the humidity sticks around long after the sun goes down. Thankfully, those predictable afternoon thunderstorms help cool things off… at least for a bit.
When you’re spending a full day at the parks in this kind of weather, comfort is key:
- Go lightweight and breathable: Loose, moisture-wicking clothes are your best friend.
- Sneakers over flip-flops: You’ll be walking miles and dodging afternoon downpours. Wet walkways and soggy flip-flops are a blister just waiting to happen.
- Sun protection is essential: Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (and reapply often)!
- Prepare for rain: Afternoon storms are common, so keep a poncho or compact umbrella in your bag.
- Pack backup socks: Trust us, a dry pair can be a lifesaver after a soggy rain shower.
