The Mississippi Delta is coming to Universal Orlando Resort, and it’s bringing vampires with it. Sinners, the Academy Award-winning supernatural horror film, has officially been announced as a haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights 2026!
Here’s how Universal describes this experience:
Head to Club Juke as the Smokestack Twins fend off bloodthirsty vampires in this haunted house based on the award-winning film.
What is Sinners?
Released in 2025, Sinners wasted no time making horror history. Set in 1930s Mississippi Delta, the film follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who return to their hometown with dreams of opening a juke joint, a place of music, community, and celebration. What begins as a joyous opening night quickly unravels when a troupe of relentless vampires descends on the gathering, turning the festivities into a desperate, bloody battle for survival.
The film became the highest-grossing original horror film ever made, earning over $370 million at the global box office. It also made a massive splash during awards season, earning a record-breaking 16 Academy Award nominations and walking away with four Oscar wins. Critics and audiences were equally captivated, praising the film’s rich atmosphere, layered characters, and its bold reinvention of vampire mythology.
Produced by Coogler alongside Proximity Media’s Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian, Sinners isn’t just a horror film — it’s a cultural phenomenon. And now, it’s coming to Halloween Horror Nights.
What to expect from the haunted house
Guests will step directly into Club Juke at the height of its ill-fated opening night. The celebratory atmosphere will quickly give way to something far more sinister as Remmick, Bert, and Joan make their presence known.
Fan-favorite characters from the film, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline, and Cornbread, will appear throughout the house, giving Sinners devotees plenty of moments to recognize while the scares keep coming. And of course, twins Smoke and Stack are at the center of it all, fighting to hold back the darkness as guests try to make it through the night in one piece.
Halloween Horror Nights Executive Producer John Murdy called the experience a reinvention of the haunted house format in its own right, much like the film reinvented the vampire genre.
