During Halloween Horror Nights 2025, celebrating its 34th year, the nightmares don’t stay locked inside the haunted houses. They spill into the streets as immersive scare zones. These open-air nightmares transform Universal Studios Florida into a living, breathing horror experience, where every step you take could bring you face-to-face with creatures of the night. This year’s scare zone themes range from a twisted cat lady who transforms children into felines to a mutant outbreak born from a mobster getaway gone wrong in 1920s New York.
Here’s a shriek peek of the full lineup!

The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane: This scare zone gives a whole new meaning to “cat lady.” Wrought iron gates guard the entrance to Crooked Lane, a shadowy, winding path that leads straight to her lair. Local legend whispers that she lures unsuspecting trick-or-treaters down this winding road, only to transform them into feline companions for her ever-growing collection. Enter if you dare, but don’t be surprised if you leave with a few extra lives… and a tail.

Mutations: Toxic Twenties: Trouble brews on the gritty streets of a 1920s neighborhood when a mobster escape collides (literally) with disaster. When a getaway car collides with a BuzzCon truck carrying toxic materials, it twists the town’s speakeasy spirit into pure nightmare fuel. Welcome to the roaring (and ravaged) twenties.

Masquerade: Dance with Death: You’ve received an invitation to a Halloween masquerade, an opulent affair where guests don masks inspired by legendary monsters. But as midnight draws near, the illusion begins to crumble. One by one, the masks slip off, revealing not costumes… but vampires. The feast has begun, and you’re on the menu.

The Origins of Horror: Stroll through the garden of the conservatory, where monuments pay tribute to the terrors of Halloween Horror Nights 34. Each statue stands as a preview of the nightmares that await beyond. But don’t let your guard down—massive crows circle ominously, their eyes tracking your every move. This garden isn’t just a tribute… it’s a warning.

And just when you think you’ve braved it all, Universal is raising the stakes once again. This year’s event also introduces all-new street experiences that take the horror to new heights—zombie carhops at Mel’s Die-In, undead DJs, and more sinister surprises lurking around the corner.
These scare zones also complement the array of offerings at Halloween Horror Nights, including Fallout, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and more. Check out these haunts on select nights from August 29 through November 2. Find out everything you need to know about tickets here.
