Orlando’s Food Truck Bazaar filling up I-Drive on Saturday, August 11

One of the goals of OrlandoInformer.com — other than providing the world’s best information and expert advice for guests visiting Universal Orlando — is to introduce Orlando vacationers to activities outside of the parks. It is easy to get wrapped up in the excitement and amusements at Universal, Disney, SeaWorld, and miss out on the world of “local” yet just as fun activities our town has to offer.

That’s why I’m excited to let you know that this Saturday, one of Orlando hottest scenes is coming to International Drive. The Orlando Food Truck Bazaar, presented by The Daily City, will be at the World Bowling Center from 6 to 9pm. Check out the trucks scheduled to appear (always subject to change):

The Crepe Company, Big Wheel Provisions, Korean BBQ Taco Box, Bem Bom, Firehouse BBQ, Yum Yum Truck, Pop Craft, Cafe Cocoa Mo, 5Gastronomy, Twisted Cuban, Darland Bakery, Ice Cream Social, Cafe Rouge, Pupusas

So if you want to experience local Orlando flair and something uber-delicious like this:

Then please mark your calendars! See the map below for more information on the bazaar’s location.

Three quick tips for first-time food truck round-up visitors: Get there early, try 5:30pm, because the lines get long fast! If possible, bring your own chairs, like folding chairs, and a cooler of some sort to use as a table. Finally, all the trucks these days take cards, so you don’t have to worry about getting cash.

Can’t make it this Thursday? You can check out the Food Truck Bazaar’s August schedule. And be sure to check out TheDailyCity.com for more ideas on local activities around Orlando.
