This was the first Hilton Grand Vacations property that I have ever stayed at, and it was love at first stay! The pools, beautiful grounds, luxurious rooms and friendly staff will have you feeling like you’re in your own personal paradise!
I was in eighth grade during the time of our first stay at this property, and it has set the bar for me ever since. Now that I am the one planning all of the vacations and accommodations, I always try to book a Hilton Grand Vacations property in Orlando whenever possible. Even though it has been many years since my eighth grade stay, this property has only gotten better!
This 33-acre Bermuda-styled resort has plenty to offer. There are three beautiful swimming pools, one of which features a luxurious waterfall. The resort also features children’s wading pools and a total of five whirlpool spas to relax and rest those feet after a long day of theme park adventures.
There are two on-site restaurants. The Provisions Market & Fresh Deli, which is located right off the pool main pool area, is a delicatessen offering Starbucks coffee, breakfast, sandwiches featuring Boar’s Head brand, fresh made pizzas, snacks, and you can even pick up groceries for your room. Open daily from 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM. You can check out their menu by clicking here.
The Coral Reef Bar and Grill, which was recently renovated, is located not too far from the main pool. Guests can relax with a drink or enjoy dinner as they listen to the soothing sound of the waterfall and at certain times live music will keep you entertained while you dine. The menu include tasty burgers, sandwiches, salads and seafood offerings as well. Check with the hotel for information about their special weekend breakfast buffet.
We haven’t had a full meal at the Coral Reef, but we did snack on their nachos while we lounged poolside and enjoyed the tropical tunes of the live steel drum performer. Talk about a great way to spend a leisurely afternoon.
We have stayed at this location with and without our own transportation. We like to have our own car available for more “freedom”, but you can also get around while staying here even if you do not have your own ride around town. There is an I-Ride trolley and Lynx stop located right out front. SeaWorld is also just a short distance away and we often walked to the park. We really enjoyed being able to just get up and make the short walk over to the park for the day. Of course, if you do not want to walk you can board the I-Ride trolley which will drop you off right at SeaWorld’s main gate or take the complimentary transportation that is offered from the hotel for being a SeaWorld Hotel Partner.
Not only does this hotel offer complimentary transportation to SeaWorld, but also has a whole list of SeaWorld Park perks to offer. This includes such perks as early entry to SeaWorld and Aquatica on select days, complimentary front-of-the-line access to SeaWorld’s thrill rides, discounts on select food and gift purchases at SeaWorld and Aquatica and exclusive access to the “SeaWorld Rescue Tour” on early entry days. For more information and restrictions, click here.
There is an onsite complimentary fitness center for those who want to keep up with their fitness while on the road. The fitness center features Precor equipment. If you want to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery outdoors there is a walking path that goes around the property’s lake.
The hotel offers several recreational activities including a shuffleboard court, tennis courts, basketball court, pool tables and playground, as well as daily supervised recreation programs for all ages. There will be a schedule of activities on-site.
The whole family can enjoy the onsite mini Movie Theater! Cool off while watching some of Hollywood ’s most popular films in the fifty seat movie theater or relax pool side with a Dive In Movie (check with hotel for schedule).
Some of the other on site amenities are a 24-hour security gate entry for registered guests (I liked the extra sense of security this offers), complimentary parking, outdoor barbeque grills and picnic areas, business center, on-site laundry facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi to name a few.
Now onto my favorite part of any Hilton Grand Vacations properties: The rooms! Guests have the option of choosing a studio room, one bedroom or two bedroom suite. All of which feature an array of wonderful amenities and décor.
Each suite features separate living and dining areas, a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your cooking needs, a washer and dryer unit, flat-screen HD TV’s, DVD players, alarm clocks with MP3 connections, pull out sofa bed and complimentary high-speed wireless internet. Along with all of the extra space these suites offer, two of my favorite features are your own private balcony and jetted whirlpool tub. Some balconies even offer great views of the SeaWorld fireworks! Nothing like relaxing on your own balcony and watching the beautiful fireworks lighting up the night sky or having your own private whirl pool tub to soak in. The suites really spoil me when it comes to hotel accommodations. The extra space is wonderful, especially during longer stays.
The one bedroom suites are 878 square feet and two bedroom suites are 1,225 square feet.
The Studio rooms feature a Queen bed (and some offer an additional sofa bed), along with a fully-equipped kitchenette including a small refrigerator, microwave and sink. Studios also include 27″ TV with cable, DVD player and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub combo. Some Studios have a private screened balcony.
All rooms feature the Hilton Suite Dreams bedding, which is so comfortable! I always sleep so well in their beds. If only I could purchase all of the Hilton Bedding collection to have at home (one day!) All rooms also include a coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and daily housekeeping service. Handicap accessible rooms are also available.
This is a great hotel if you’re looking for some extra space to spread out. I also really like the location of this hotel. It’s close to the parks and attractions, yet still away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. There are also plenty of dining, entertainment and shopping options just minutes away. If you want to spend your vacation feeling like you’re in your own paradise and at a place that has something for everyone to enjoy then this is the hotel for you!
I would like to note that this property has gone through some renovations since these photos were taken, so the rooms will be updated and even more beautiful than before!
