Fallout Announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2025

|

Grab your Pip-Boy! Fallout is officially making its way to Halloween Horror Nights 2025! Universal Orlando Resort is cracking open the Vault to unleash the twisted, post-apocalyptic world of Fallout like never before in a dedicated house.

Here’s how Universal describes this experience:

Face your fears in post-apocalyptic LA, devastated by nuclear war, based on the hit show and game franchise “Fallout.” You’ll travel into the vaults and be attacked by raiders alongside Lucy. You’ll escape to the wasteland and confront the bounty hunter, The Ghoul. You’ll even encounter Maximus with the Brotherhood of Steel and see T-60 power armor.

The Fallout franchise got its start back in 1997 with the release of the very first game, a post-apocalyptic role-playing adventure set in a world ravaged by nuclear war. Players emerged from underground vaults into a harsh wasteland, facing off against mutants, scavenging for supplies, and navigating the remnants of a shattered civilization. The game was a critical and commercial hit, breathing new life into the RPG genre and earning widespread acclaim for its innovative gameplay.

That initial success paved the way for a sprawling franchise of sequels and spin-offs. Its influence reached far beyond gaming, thanks in large part to its mascot: Vault Boy. With his cartoon look, blue jumpsuit, and thumbs-up pose, Vault Boy became a cultural symbol. (Fun fact: Time Magazine once ranked him the third most influential video game character of all time.)

Fallout’s impact has seeped into games like Fortnite, Magic: The Gathering, Call of Duty, and Super Smash Bros. And in 2024, Fallout leapt from consoles to the small screen with an Amazon Prime series starring Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins, further cementing Fallout’s place in pop culture history.
