Dead Coconut Club History
Since debuting in 2022, Dead Coconut Club has become a must-visit during Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. Each fright nights season, Red Coconut Club temporarily transforms with immersive storytelling, over-the-top themed décor, and creative cocktails.
In past years, Dead Coconut Club has channeled everything from tropical twists on Universal Monsters to a classic movie theater-inspired horror vibe. The 2025 theme reimagined the space as a witchy sorority house, blending collegiate charm with supernatural secrets.
But the transformations don’t stop with Halloween. During the Holidays at Universal, the venue becomes the Green & Red Coconut Club, decked out in festive cheer. And when Universal Mardi Gras rolls around, it morphs again—this time into the enchanting and eerie Cursed Coconut Club.
A Look Inside Dead Coconut Club
This year, aliens have invaded Dead Coconut Club. The venue has fully embraced its otherworldly takeover, transforming into a two-story hideaway split between a small-town harvest festival and the spacecraft looming above it.
Downstairs is Midweston, home to its 35th Annual Harvest Festival — a nod to HHN’s own 35th anniversary this year. A “Welcome to Midweston, est. 1906” sign anchors the outdoor bar, framed by string lights and stacks of autumn leaves overhead.
Wander further and you’ll hit a full cornfield corn maze, guarded by a scarecrow and a spinning windmill. Look closely and you’ll spot the UFO logo glowing faintly above the crops — your first clue that something’s not quite right in Midweston.
The festival vibes continue with a pumpkin carving contest on full display, three rows deep and dozens of jack-o’-lanterns strong, all competing for bragging rights.
Then things get weird. Head upstairs and Dead Coconut Club becomes the belly of a spacecraft: glowing blue paneling, tangled cables, and a foil-lined ceiling straight out of a sci-fi set. Illuminated command screens flicker with cryptic data and UFO schematics behind the bar, while a shelf of specimen jars holds glowing “samples” collected from below.
Before you leave, don’t skip the stairwell connecting the two levels — it’s one of the best photo ops in the building. Ghosts, candy, and farmhouse debris appear to float and cling to the walls in a disorienting, gravity-bending room bathed in green light.
