Mark, did you guys see the Orlando Sentinel article from a couple of days ago? It said that WDW attendance had remained between negative growth and 2% growth between 2009-2012.
Universal and IOA attendance grew by 39% between 2009-2012.
Maybe a good portion of the public aren’t being fooled by “free” bus rides and Magic Handcuffs for $500/day.
Maybe guests still prefere a good value and a lot of new, creative, E Ticket attractions.

BrianArmstrong I kind of think that you can’t really experience any of these new additions in a way they are meant to be experienced for a while after they open. The crowds need to die down some for a lot of this stuff to work and it’s best to go during times that other people aren’t packed into the place. Personally, I think all of the Potter areas are best experienced on cold or rainy days. To me it makes it feel more like the books and movies. The Orlando heat on a bright sunny day when it’s jam-packed is not as much fun as when it’s a rather thin crowd on a crummy day in, say, February or January.
On the other side of the coin, the Disney parks are best when it’s bright and sunny and packed. I’m almost feeling like it’s worth a trip down to Orlando just to do the Potter stuff in February or January and then maybe a few other local Orlando things. Skip Disney altogether and maybe not even do anything else in USF or IOA and just do a Potter vacation one trip. That could be fun.

How long will a line be for the “magic spells” that would give it away to plus if a line is busy i am going to find it hard to justify waiting in line for something that may or may not work (bc I said the wrong spell) then wait in line again… another thing is if there is a line and someone gets the right spell wont the person behind just hear the spell and repeat it then the next person and so on.
