I like your logic regarding Disney’s attraction openings.

And yeah, that’s too bad about Starbot Cafe. I certainly like Monsters, but I hopeful for the replacement.

@kate normally Disney over estimates openings for new attractions, just like Under the Sea and Be our Guest were actually slated to open Spring of 2013 not in December, this is done to accomodate their vast hotel accomodations and not to dissapoint their guest but not fufilling promised attractions

Disney also tries to open these new projects prior to Christmas if possible due to both the volumes of their busiest week following and also the number of travellers who book thier vacations throughout the year during that time frame

It also allows them to promote this projects during the Christmas Parade to a national audience, hence the major openings in 2012 all occured in early December

This is why the article features the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for 2013 as the attraction is using a fabricated roller coaster via Vekoma which also reduces its build out, and most information short of the initial press release supports a 2013 opening

While the Starbot Cafe seems destined to be scratched as the Demo Permits for Universal and the Monster Cafe have not been acted on as of yet.
