Guests can experience the world of Despicable Me in newly-renovated, film-inspired kids suites debuting NEXT MONTH at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. The suites are now available for reservations, for stays beginning October 1. These one-of-a-kind suites capture the excitement and playfulness of Gru’s house, complete with missile beds and Minions who rappel from the ceiling and surround guests with their unpredictable antics.
“This is the latest way we are integrating the theme park experience into our on-site hotels,” says Vince LaRuffa, Vice President of Resort Sales and Marketing. “The popularity of the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction at Universal Studios, along with this summer’s release of Despicable Me 2 on July 3, presents an ideal time for the Minions to take over our kids suites.”
These two-room suites feature a kids room outfitted with custom-designed missile beds with Minion-inspired bedding, so that children can sleep like Gru’s adorable girls: Margo, Edith and Agnes. A pale blue interior creates a soothing backdrop, while touches of Gru’s laboratory’s red accents remind guests that they are indeed in an unforgettable Minion adventure.
The adults’ room features a king-sized bed in the hotel’s newly-renovated Italian luxury design. An added feature that parents will appreciate is a single entry door into the suite; the kids’ side of the suite does not have a door that opens into the hallway. All of the hotel’s 18 kids suites will be transformed with the new theme.
Guests staying on-site can save up to 30 percent when they stay three nights or more with the Stay More, Save More promotion. On-site hotel guests receive a package of exclusive benefits, including Early Park Admission and free Universal Express Unlimited ride access which lets them skip the regular lines on most rides and attractions in Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

Hi, Do you know the cost per night?
@nrYou can punch in dates here and see for yourself: http://www.loewshotels.com/en/booking/uo?hotel=UEPBH.
Just for fun I put in December 1 for one night, 2 adults and 2 kids, and the price was $594 — yeah, these rooms aren’t cheap!
my son said we would have to cover the big set of eyes over the window cause he would not be able to sleep with them watching him….lol
Wish they didnt cost so much
I wanna stay in one!
Lol I know I have seen this before I think it would creep me out a bit though lol x
Soooo wanna stay here but soooo pricey!!
I think they should have 3 missile beds there were three girls in the movie and I have three kiddos and I hate when everything caters to a family of 4 🙁
I have a bank account opened to save for our 2015 trip! Think I’ll need to open another one to save for this hotel room!!
I looked at this but couldn’t stretch to that much for one night – maybe next trip :o(
Yeah considering we don’t have kids, and they don’t have a double bed in this theme, we won’t be staying here 🙁 such a shame, are there any double bed themed rooms? Adults do like these things too you know 🙂
I’ve been working on the rooms and;
1: the room isn’t big enough for 3 beds, some of the rooms only have room for 1 bed.
2: it’s a 2 bedroom suite on Universal property, so no it’s not going to be cheap.
3:don’t drink the Fiji water I’m the room, that will set you back $7.
How can I purchase the missile bed!? My 5 yr old son is obsessed with Despicable Me and want the bed so bad!
so what that dream room
