Reader poll: How much do you spend on souvenirs at Universal Orlando?

|

Today we’d like to discuss a topic that is near and dear to many theme park fans’ hearts, but not always appreciated by the budget keepers: merchandise and souvenirs!

The goodies offered at various locations throughout Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure range from a $5,700 movie-quality Batman costume to 51 cent pressed pennies. And who can leave their first visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter without buying a wand and a chocolate frog?

So in today’s poll we ask (current tally will be revealed after voting)…

I went a little crazy on our trip to the Wizarding World last summer. Then this summer I lost just about everything in a flood. Β I guess that’s my excuse to go back and indulge again:)

My downfall is all the Harry Potter merchandise. I’m a Gryffindor girl and I bought every piece of Gryffindor related merch I could find, clothes, pins, decoration objects… you name it, I must have bought at least one of them!

For me, I usually only buy souvenirs if they’re on super sale. But as gifts, well, that’s different. So I voted in the poll based on what I buy as gifts!

As an Annual Pass Holder, I probably average under $20 a trip. But that doesn’t mean I don’t splurge! Just means I come here that often.

I usually spend way too much and I blame the kids. πŸ™‚
