The Exorcist coming to Halloween Horror Nights 26

|

Things just got scary. The Exorcist is the second house confirmed to be coming to Halloween Horror Nights 26.

Mike Aiello announced the news on Universal Orlando’s blog today. Recognizing the movie as one of “the kings of influential horror pop culture,” Aiello admitted the house won’t be the easiest to design with the majority of the story taking place in a bedroom. He elaborated on how Universal’s Art & Design team is beginning to tackle some of the unique challenges of creating an Exorcist house and some of their ideas in today’s announcement:

“The famous “pea soup” scene for instance. What if we were surrounded in the materials of the retch-covered bed? What if those layers of mattress padding literally enveloped us? And let’s be honest, traversing through a vomit-covered bed is pretty horrifying and disgusting by itself. Now add a possessed girl into the mix!”

The Exorcist house will be constructed in a soundstage. Generally, Halloween Horror Nights most elaborately designed houses call the soundstages home.

Exorcist joins Texas Chain Saw Massacre as the announced houses for Halloween Horror Nights 26. For more information on Halloween Horror Nights 26, visit our complete guide at HHN.Guide.
