Historic Downtown Kissimmee Farmers Market: Slow down and enjoy the simple things

The Farmers Market in Historic Downtown Kissimmee may not have the crowds of vendors and wandering window shoppers like the ones at Lake Eola or Winter Park, but there is joy in its simpler approach.

The Downtown Kissimmee Farmers Market takes place every Thursday from 7:00am to 1:00pm at Toho Square, just a block off main street (see the map below). During my visit yesterday there were three fruit & vegetable vendors, a few food vendors including BBQ and cookies, and a number of folks selling arts and crafts. It was a very calm setting with a neighborly feel.

If you are visiting the Kissimmee area and looking for some homemade, locally-sourced products, I’d definitely recommend visiting the Kissimmee Farmers Market. Take a look at the map below for directions and don’t forget to view the complete photo gallery at the bottom of the post.

It doesn’t seem that the Farmers Market has its own website, but you can visit the website for Kissimmee Mainstreet. I also found this contact information for the market.
