Here’s how to prepare for Halloween Horror Nights 25

|

The great reveal has dropped and we now (officially) know Halloween Horror Nights 25’s full lineup of attractions, including five haunted houses based around film & television properties. Horror fans may have seen some or all of these films, but many of you may not have had the chance to check them out. And when you’re ready to book your trip, head over to Orlando Informer Travel – they’ll get you all set up at no additional cost.

I’ve compiled an inventory of all the means to enjoy these films in a variety of formats. Enjoy!

Insidious: Chapter 3

The latest installment in the Insidious franchise will not be available digitally until September 22nd. You can preorder a digital copy here.

The film won’t reach stores in physical form until October 2nd. Amazon is also taking preorders on DVD and Blu-Ray copies, but you might want to wait until a price drop.

Freddy vs. Jason

An editorial note: I recently rewatched this film, and I’ll be blunt, it hasn’t held up well. Based on what has officially been released, HHN’s house won’t be a direct adaptation. I’ve listed means to view the film if you wish, but you might be better off watching the original Nightmare on Elm Street, listed below. I struggle to suggest a definitive Friday the 13th film because there really isn’t one – the first one does not include Jason as the hockey mask wearing, machete-wielding maniac that will be featured in the house. That particular Jason does not appear until the third installment. Instead, I’ll recommend the 2009 underrated Friday the 13th remake, a revised origin story for Mr. Voorhees.
