Guests staying at the on-site hotels at Universal Orlando Resort – Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort – can now hit the links at two of Orlando’s best golf courses. The resort’s new partner courses in the Golf Universal Orlando program feature Grand Cypress Golf Club, along with Windermere Country Club.

A dedicated golf coordinator will assist guests with preferred tee times, complimentary club rental, free range balls and complimentary transportation to the course for groups of four or more. “We are excited to partner with both Grand Cypress Golf Club and Windermere Country Club to offer this special benefit to our on-site hotel guests,” says Vince LaRuffa, Vice President of Resort Sales & Marketing at Universal Orlando Resort. “This is another perk of staying on-site, in addition to Early Park Admission at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and complimentary Universal Express ride access at both theme parks.”

With 45 holes of award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed golf, Grand Cypress Golf Club offers a truly diverse selection of Orlando golf. The 27-hole North/South/East Course provides the ultimate test of accuracy, while the 18-hole New Course offers a Scottish links masterpiece. Named by Golf Magazine as one of the top 100 courses you can play and by Golf World Magazine as one of the top 50 resort courses, Grand Cypress Golf Club is a distinctive and memorable golf experience.

Featuring rolling fairways on an 18-hole championship golf course, Windermere Country Club sits between Lake Roberts and Lake Crescent in the prestigious town of Windermere. This recently-renovated course, designed by Ward Northrup, offers undulating fairways and challenging Tiff Eagle greens and greenside bunkers, lined with majestic pine and oak trees. Windermere Country Club offers a unique opportunity to be a “Member for a Day” at a memorable, world-class golf course.

“Two of the area’s most beautiful and challenging golf courses are just minutes away from Universal Orlando Resort,” says LaRuffa. “Our Golf Universal Orlando partner courses are an ideal complement to the one-of-a-kind hotel, theme park and dining experiences we offer our guests.”

Hotel guests wishing to enjoy the privileges of Golf Universal Orlando may contact the concierge desk before or during their stay.

Editor’s note: True story — my wife used to work at Grand Cypress. It is a really lovely property.

Sounds nice.  I like the complementary clubs usage.  Any idea how much the greens fees are?
