The update brings a variety of new features for guests to use while on their vacation, including “My Resort Dashboard,” which takes all of your resort reservation details and streamlines them into one area for the app. Guests will be able to see their room number, theme, building and floor once you have your room assigned to your before your vacation.

Another new features happens right when you open the app. The first thing you will now see after opening the app will be park maps, which will allow you to navigate all four Walt Disney World parks with ease. There is also a new area called “Spotlight.” This new area highlights entertainment and other various experiences throughout the park for you to enjoy.

The next big thing to come to the My Disney Experience app will be mobile ordering, in particular for Pandora – The World of AVATAR when it opens in May. As was previously announced, Pandora’s Satu’li Canteen will feature mobile ordering where guests can order via the My Disney Experience app and pick it up a short time later.

Disney World releases sneak peek for new “Happily Ever After” fireworks show

Walt Disney World announced back in the beginning of February that their nightly fireworks show, “Wishes” will be replaced later this spring with a new show called “Happily Ever After.” Disney released a special sneak peek of the new theme song that will be featured in the new nightly fireworks show at the park, properly titled “Happily Ever After”, during a live stream of “Wishes” earlier last week.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, the new show will feature segments from “Moana,” “Brave,” “Big Hero 6,” “Zootopia,” “The Princess & The Frog,” “Aladdin” and more. The show will make its debut at Magic Kingdom on May 12, 2017.

The new song featured in “Happily Ever After” is performed by country music artist Angie Keilhauer and singer Jordan Fisher, who is featured on the “Moana” soundtrack.

“Wishes” made its debut in 2003, which was the replacement for the “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom, which made its debut in 1971.
